WHAT IS AWANA?If you’re looking for the premiere program to change kids’ lives, you’ve come to the right place! AWANA blends Bible teaching, Scripture memorization and tons of fun. The AWANA ministry will impact kids, families and entire communities.
AWANA is a youth ministry committed to “reaching boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and training them to serve Him.” Each week, one million boys and girls in more than 100 countries attend AWANA clubs where they play games, memorize Bible verses and listen to Bible stories. From pre-school to 6th Grade, children and youth have fun while being taught the Word of God.
Wednesday Night Club Meetings
Arrival Time: 6:30 - 6:45
Cubbies and Puggles meet in the choir ready room of the church building.
Sparks and T&T Clubs meet in the church sanctuary
Opening Assembly: All children in the Sparks and T&T Clubs will meet for a brief assembly in the church sanctuary. Each assembly will consist of prayer, pledges, and announcements. All Clubbers will then participate in Game Time, Handbook Time, and Council Time (Cubbies remain in their classroom for all activities).
Game Time: During game time the clubbers are preparing for the AWANA games. AWANA game time is competition with a higher purpose. The games we play during AWANA offer many benefits. Clubbers will develop a stronger identity and a closer bond with other members. (Tennis shoes are required.)
Handbook Time: Handbook time enables leaders to work individually with clubbers on memorizing Bible verses. Each clubber will have the opportunity to earn team points and individual awards for completing handbooks.
Council Time: An AWANA leader or other adult will give a devotional message or spiritual challenge with an age appropriate practical application.
Dismissal: 8:30
All Cubbies and Puggles will remain in their classroom until picked up by an adult.
All Sparks will remain in the gym until picked up by a parent (unless other instructions are given). T&T Clubbers will remain the Citgo area of the two-story building until picked up by a parent (unless other instructions are given).
