Discipleship
So, what is discipleship, anyway? Discipleship can be summarized as “teaching other people how to be a follower of Jesus Christ”. This teaching is accomplished through a structured set of Bible study lessons and more importantly, through a mature believer modeling the Christian life. 2 Timothy 2:2 is a key discipleship verse: “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also”.
The goal of this ministry is to ground believers in the “basics” of the faith, build their personal commitment to the transforming Word of God, encourage them in their walk, and assist them in sharing their faith to impact their world. Ultimately, these “disciples” will be trained to disciple others, impacting the world one life at a time.
